Loreto Secondary School Bray said it was “delighted to be a step closer to realising the dream”, as Wicklow County Council approved plans for a €34m project, which is set to increase the capacity of the school to 1,000 students. The extensive work is scheduled to be carried out in two phases, beginning with the demolition of 20th century classroom buildings, St Anne’s prefabricated structure and the sports hall. The final development will result in a new three-storey, split level school building of 11,302 square metres internal, with a height of 14.7 metres. It is typical contemporary school design, finished in render with brick and glazing and metal flat roof. Read the full story here.
