A county Westmeath primary school has been given the go-ahead to build 11 new classrooms alongside a purpose built Special Educational Needs (SEN) unit as part of a multi-million euro State backed expansion. Saint Mary’s Primary School in Athlone received the green light from local authority chiefs to commence one of the largest education led construction projects in the midlands town in recent years.
